The name "flairgun" was a simple pun of the Pyro's flare gun and the word "flair" (similar sounding to flare) with kind-of interesting flare kills (though my standards have been raised since then). I know most of you will probably get the pun - but sometimes, you need to spell it out for people.
The fade intro was inspired by sketchek's "bequest" video. I'm pretty sure I would've known about his"situation" by that time as the fade intro and music choice are like a tribute to him and his video. To elaborate more on the music choice, the music I used is from Earthbound and it plays when you exit Pokey's house and it kind of marks the beginning of your adventure - in this case like a new beginning, like a spiritual continuation of sketchek (which didn't work out in the end).
I surely have finally watched his "closure" video by/before this time after a few months reading this reddit post regarding his "situtation", since in that Reddit post, the original video on sketchek's channel is privated (despite him in the future coming out with the truth and should make it public to show humility).
Some digging later, I found a "closure" video mirror. A big thanks to those who have reuploaded sketchek's deleted videos. When I found out why he really stopped uploading, I wasn't devastated. I've already lost things that I can't get back and I can't be permanently crying and doing nothing.
I never truly believed it in the back of my mind, due to being lied to, manipulated and neglected too much that I've gained a better sense of what could be right and wrong. I took it more as he's gone (not uploading anymore) and more of a reason to make a TF2 tribute channel for what the channel stood for (first) and for him (second).
I wasn't really surprised when he came back, due to a subconscious feeling that anything can and will happen and people have faked deaths before. I was just disappointed, but I'll get into this more in Chapter 2 - especially why I wasn't livid but rather disappointed.
