S3: "遅すぎる"

Video link

A more morbidly themed video. When I recorded this demo, it was like a tragic moment where you were so close to saving a friends life but you just weren't fast enough, traumatizing you and making you regret your decisions.

I might have chosen I less morbid way to express this back then, but I had ideas for the video at the time of editing and had to commit to them instead of being stuck on what could be best for the video.

I made the mood very tragic, going further by making a cinematic in SFM of the medic regretting his slowness, despite him trying his best. Even further, I implied that the medic and soldier was in a relationship, further bringing the point home of the medic "killing" his comrade (or lover) by being too slow.

The sniper could've had a fully charged machina headshot on the soldier for all I know, but I still wanted to make this tragic video thingy. At the time, I was taken back by the absurdity of the situation, and I am exaggerating it in this video. The healing bolt was so close to the soldier but he died before it reached him.

This was a very bold video in terms of creative vision due to the tragicness of the video. Perhaps I have channeled part of my misfortunes into this video to describe some aspects of my life. There is some symbolism in the ending cliff scene but maybe it's best you decide what it means yourself.

I was tempted to use the text chat in-game in the video but it would've taken away from the video. Besides, all the soldier said when they died is "sigh".

I included suicide prevention links in the video description since I feel it's a responsibility to do, even though this video was made in fun by make a hyperbole of a situation in a videogame.

Update 2022-09-02: Shadowbanned comment from ~2022-03-?? (hidden on Bing Soy's screen at least) made to add upon the simple suicide prevention web link, in an attempt to confront the nature of more productive course of suicide prevention
