S2: "stahp tower"

Video link

When sketchek's apology hit, I kicked in high gear to do what I set out to do. I was going to mimic his first few videos - at least the first three: a YTPMV, a JoJo reference and finally, a TF2 video.

I didn't want to use the same 一本満足バー (Ippon Manzoku Bar) commercial sketchek used for his YTPMV. JonTron might have been the first one to pop up for a candidate to be made into a YTPMV.

Remembering would be easier if I would have done this whole documentation thing earlier, but oh well. I somehow decided on using the clips where he gets uncomfortable from a Goosebumps TV episode he's watching gets a little creepy. The one where he goes "no" a lot.

It also kind of fit with the whole thing I was doing - the footage and the music choice (Kirby Boss Tower theme). I'm kind of like a boss that's coming to unleash something upon the world, for better or worse.

YTPMV audio part of project in FL Studio

I found that making the YTPMV in my video editor (HitFilm) to be too tedious and more convoluted, also not preserving the quality of the audio of JonTron's voice when being pitched using pitch effects. Naturally, since I owned FL Studio, I used that. Not sure if I had previous knowledge of people going into their DAW and making the YTPMV audio then going back in their video editor to sync everything back up to the video but it was my first time making a YTPMV. I would like to post some screenshots of the video project files, but sadly most of them are deleted now to give way for the new ones and as to not cling on to old bulky project files forever.

I'm sure the experience I had doing something kind of close to a YTPMV (without the need to sync back to the original audio) helped. My edits channel is a whole 'nother beast I hope to revive in the future. This video helped teach me how exactly the pro YTPMV'ers do it. If I ever need to make another YTPMV in the future, it will be slightly easier for me.

sketchek's video was in 480p whereas mine was in 720p. Not making fun of quality, just an interesting note... to take note of. I was prioritizing video quality over copying the exact video quality he had, but everything else was very closely mimicked. For example, I took it further by mimicking the layout of the video, as seen above.
